No exact years are given, the terminus post quem is the completion of the Valens Waterway in 378, as the Hadrian Waterway was unable to supply the hill on which the bath was built. Striker and Kuban consider the bath’s presence on the Notitia Urbis Constantinopolitanae 425 likely, which places the construction date roughly between 378-425 (Cf. Striker & Kuban 1991, p. 36).
