description	According to Consularia Constantinopolitana, the Baths of Carosia were dedicated by the prefect Vindalonius Magnus. According to PLRE I, p. 536, Magnus was city prefect in 375-375, as opposed to the Consularia Constantinopolitana that claims he dedicated the Baths of Carosia when Modestus and Arintheus were consuls (372, see PLRE I, Fasti, p. 1045). If Magnus' prefecture lasted from 375-376, he could not have dedicated the baths in 378. In this case, the Chronicon Paschale seems to offer more accurate information: it states that not the baths, but the gymnasium was dedicated in 375.

6	Sozomen 443	352	(Church History 6.9) Not long after his banishment, he (Agelius the Novatian) was recalled, received the churches under him, and boldly convened churches through the influence of Marcian, a man of extraordinary virtue and eloquence, who had formerly been enrolled among the troops of the palace, but at this period was a presbyter of the Novatian heresy, and the teacher of grammar to Anastasia and Carosa, the daughters of the emperor. There are still baths at Constantinople which bear the names of these princesses.
