p. 10 Zeuxippos 330 (begun by Severus/) p. 13 By contrast the Hadrianic line supplied the lower area of old Byzantium, occupied now by the Imperial Palace and associated baths, including the major baths of the Zeuxippos, which were built either by Severus or Constantine. p. 20 Theophanes’ account makes much more sense within the two-system model and therefore seems to indicate that between 626 and 765/6 the city, including the Baths of Zeuxippos, was supplied solely by the aqueduct of Hadrian from the sources north-west of the city.
