Originally a public bath at Taurus (Forum of Theodosius/Forum Tauri). Restored in 569/70 by Justin II.

According to Yegül, 2008, p. 183, the baths are located east of Bayezit Square (between Regions X and XI), Laleli.

The location and altitude - Forum of Theodosius - suggest that it was supplied by the Valens Waterway.
