description

A double bath built across from the Hagia Sophia in 1556.

During the early 20th century it was used for petrol storage until it got damaged during a city fire.

It would be restored in 1957/58 with the intention of converting it to a museum. This conversion did not happen in the end though, and it is again used as a bathhouse and spa today.
