Likely Stephanus 53 (cubicularius, ?paracoemomenus) in PLREIIIB, p. 1195. This Stephanus is also listed as a loyal follower of emperor Maurice and tutor to the first's son Theodosius.

Stephen is according to De insidiis and Patria the builder of Ta Armatiou. The Patria specifically states he built a bath there.
