One of the most famous Byzantine Patriarchs. Born between 340 and 350 in Antioch. He became a famous orator and was eventually invited to Constantinople to become bishop there. He became embroiled in court which led to his being deposed and exile in 403 to Armenia. He died in 407 while being moved to a different exile.
