Daughter of Sultan Murad III (r. 1574-1595). Ayşe Sultan married Ibrahim Pasha in 1586; her husband served as Grand Vizier to sultan Mehmed III (r. 1595-1603, Ayşe's brother). Ibrahim Pasha, with whom she had two children that died in infancy, passed away in 1601. Ayşe unhappily married Yemişci Hasan Pasha in 1602 (executed a year later by Mehmed III in 1603), and later Güzelce Mahmud Pasha in 1604 before she herself died in 1605.

Ayşe was a pious princess known for her charity; she commissioned the Fountain of Ayşe Sultan, manumitted her slaves upon her death and bequeathed large sums of money to prisoners, the poor, sick and orphans; she also reserved money to free prisoners of war, especially women.
