description	This restauration is mentioned in Skylitzes' Sypnosis Historiarum (late 11th century). Furthermore, the restoration is attested in an inscription near to the aqueducts (Crow et al. 2008).
comments	Skylitzes mistakingly refers to Valentinian, while the latter's brother Valens is the actual founder of the Aqueduct. Janin 1964, p. 199 mistakingly lists Basil I (the Macedonian) as the aqueduct's restorer. This should be Basil II.
